India,
perhaps was/is a brilliant feathered creature, yet just in the books,
which were inked for the most part by famous words. We should open
the entryways of actuality. It is high time that we should.
I remember my grandmother saying that there was a time when rape was only a part of cinema.
The
position and status of ladies in India is low regardless of the myth
of her being viewed as a "goddess" . She may be the epitome
of force , yet then there is the idea that this force must be
regulated and channelized and that regulating executor should be
advantageously man. So lady loses her singularity, her quite right to
exist for herself: she is to be ensured by her father in her
childhood, by her spouse after marriage and afterward by her child.
All
things considered, India's period of darkness and poverty was much
better than the modern age. In any event, they were not so aggressively sexual and
avaricious; dissimilar to today. You ask to any female counterpart in
India, she will concur that this is the worst period for them in this
country.
In
our daily lives, we observe women climbing success of ladder and know that they are
competent in every filed. In fact in some, they have easily
outperformed men. But, still there are many who want to confine their
vision to consider women as mere substance. Will it be right to say that they are safe and happy? Also here, we shout about the improvement
and their rights. If we pass the conditions of women in
urban areas and concentrate on rural women, then we can't even
envision their conditions. Their condition is much sever and colonial.
The
actuality is completely diverse and we see what media demonstrates to
us. It is exceptionally challenging to even measure the monstrosities
that they confront on many occasions. Women very well know their status in today's India however, they taciturnly suffer due to fear of their family or society.
In
last few years, there have been numerous cases of rapes, murder, acid
attacks, molestation among females in India. We cannot forget the
'Nirbhaya' case that shamed our nation and displayed our horrible attitude
towards woman. This incident was followed by many other that
tarnished the image of our society.
Well,
talking about that, just one day before Woman’s day, a Lucknow girl
was gang-raped in Police custody twice. ( Source:
Times of India).
Is anything left to defend our culture?
Although,
stringent laws have been put in place, they won't be enough. After
awarding capital punishment for culprits in Nirbhaya case, there have
not been much deterrence and we have witnessed many such shameful
incidents. The change that we all expect to see in our society will
not come only on the basis of stringent laws. There has to be a
change in mentality among us. The roots have to be pure.
Hope to see a brighter India and a peaceful world where women is respected and loved.
Happy Woman’s Day!
